Life Insurance Awareness Month 2010
This September is Life Insurance Awareness Month (LIAM). LIAM is a national, nonprofit, industry-wide movement sponsored by the LIFE Foundation* that reminds individuals of the vital need to include life insurance in their financial strategies. This is the seventh year that First Investors has participated in LIAM, as the Company remains committed to helping people with their life insurance needs.
This year the LIFE Foundation has developed the “Seven Wonders of Life Insurance” to illustrate how life insurance can serve as the foundation of a family's financial security.
Life insurance could help:
- Buy time...by allowing loved ones to focus on their grief by paying for the funeral and other final expenses.
- Provide a fresh start...by letting families start with a clean slate by retiring credit card debt, outstanding loans and even the mortgage.
- Generate income...by helping to replace lost income for years to come so that surviving family members can continue to pay for life's necessities.
- Provide flexibility...by giving a surviving spouse the chance to take time off from work or to switch to a job that offers a more flexible work schedule.
- Create opportunities...by providing funding to start a business, or pay for schooling so surviving family members can train for a new career.
- Fund the future...by offering a way to fund longer-range goals like a college education for the children or a secure retirement for the surviving spouse.
- Leave a legacy...by giving parents the chance to leave future generations with the legacy of long-term financial security.
If you were to pass away, would your family have the same opportunities, the same quality of life? If you have the right amount of life insurance coverage, you can confidently answer: Yes.
If you don't have the proper life insurance coverage, don't let another moment go by. Schedule an appointment with your representative today to help safeguard your family's financial future.
